September 21st – πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚– Last leg of the Journey – DUBLIN

We have been pleasantly surprised by Dublin. Our initial glimpse was on our first day here as we passed through the city from the airport and out of the city straight to Belfast. It was so busy and took us over an hour to get out of Dublin. Just seemed so busy!!

Yesterday morning we headed out of Cork on a bus to Dublin – 3 hr. Trip on the motorway and seamless. We landed in Dublin and grabbed a cab to our Airbnb. It is a lovely little cottage – the owners live downstairs and the 2 bedroom apartment is modern and on the second floor. It is in a suburb about a 30 minute walk right downtown but is actually quite nice to be outside of the city a bit. Also, the first we have seen of the rain really. It did clear up nicely today though and we got our day in without getting too drenched.

Headed out for a walk and to grab some groceries. Cody, our nephew, came for dinner to our Airbnb and it was great to see him. He stayed for a great visit and we made plans to see him tomorrow.

We all headed to bed early as it was a busy day. I think we are all getting worn down a bit. It has been fun, but busy.

Tomorrow we will have a full day in Dublin and hope to see Cody again! I actually forgot to take my real camera with me today so sorry no pictures. I did take a few on my phone but can’t download those to my IPad.

Fond thoughts of everyone!!! πŸ’•

Lloyd and I are not β€œworld travellers” but we are about to embark on an adventurous trip to Ireland with our good friends, Eldon and Kathy (who, by the way) are world travellers. We have been planning the details of this trip for over one year and it is now right around the corner. Trying to keep our packing to a minimum as we are lugging our stuff around on public transportation- a challenge for me - minimal packing I mean!! Second challenge - getting on that plane - as many of you know - I don’t love flying but fortunately Lloyd lets me dig my fingers into his arm as long as I need to! This is a fairly long flight - he may regret his generosity!! So.... we are off around the Isle on September 9th for 16 days!! I hope you all enjoy following our travels with us. It is my hope to post each day with a picture or two added. Take a trip with us!!!
