SO, I am officially confused by so many things – September 12th

Part of the fun of travelling is learning how “others” live and accomplish simple daily tasks – like a modern shower with lots of silver bars, none of which give you the desired effect for a warm shower. How to get the toast to pop down – oh but wait, before you do that, turn on the the fuse switches! Or, how to get the top off of the To Go soups we purchased. Oh yes, I also earned that pulling your suitcases down cobblestone sidewalks are very hard on their plastic wheels!! AND, none of us ever figured out how to get the TV on, but in fairness there were no instructions!! Never mind, lots of laughs!

It was a rainy cool day yesterday, the 12th, but we hopped on the Tour Bus which took us on an 8 hr. Tour of Northern Island taking in the Giant Causeway, some castle sitings, little villages, Game of Throne filming sites, a bowl of Irish Stew that was delicious along with a scone, and finishing with a spectacular tour of the Antrim Coast! It did stop raining about 2:00 p.m. in time for the drive along the coast. My but the greens are beautiful!!! Good news, our coats are waterproof!!

At the end of our day we were all too pooped to go pub hopping and chose a quiet evening at our Airbnb. Bought some take out soup and sandwiches and enjoyed a glass of wine!

All in all, a very fun day, despite the rain! I hope to post some pictures later in the day!

Hugs to all. Xxoo

Lloyd and I are not “world travellers” but we are about to embark on an adventurous trip to Ireland with our good friends, Eldon and Kathy (who, by the way) are world travellers. We have been planning the details of this trip for over one year and it is now right around the corner. Trying to keep our packing to a minimum as we are lugging our stuff around on public transportation- a challenge for me - minimal packing I mean!! Second challenge - getting on that plane - as many of you know - I don’t love flying but fortunately Lloyd lets me dig my fingers into his arm as long as I need to! This is a fairly long flight - he may regret his generosity!! So.... we are off around the Isle on September 9th for 16 days!! I hope you all enjoy following our travels with us. It is my hope to post each day with a picture or two added. Take a trip with us!!!
